Five Perspectives on the Theme

1. Technology

Next-generation technologies for realizing a sustainable society

Technologies such as quantum computing, space development, climate tech, and biotechnology are expected to bring various changes to society. We will learn about the background behind the demand for these technological innovations and the nature of the society to be realized through them.

Social innovation through AI utilization and data infrastructure development

With technological advances in machine learning, operational efficiency and new value creation are progressing in various fields such as healthcare, manufacturing, transportation, and administration. Rule formation and data democratization to promote the collection and utilization of data, which forms the foundation, are becoming increasingly important.

2. Economy

Accelerating economic growth through startup creation

Startups are attracting attention in various countries as entities that drive economic growth by developing demand through innovation-based social problem solving. We will learn about policy design to activate entrepreneurial spirit and actual examples of startup creation.

Building economic systems that balance sustainability and growth

The impact of the former growth model aimed at economic growth through mass production and consumption on the global environment has been questioned, and there is a demand for an economic approach that efficiently and cyclically utilizes resources to add value.

3. Government & Policy

Cooperation frameworks for solving global issues

In modern international society, many issues requiring multilateral cooperation for resolution, such as migration issues, peacebuilding, and security, are manifesting. Effective problem-solving mechanisms are needed in the coexistence of diverse governance entities such as sovereign states, global companies, and international organizations.

Harmonizing respect for traditional values with innovation promotion

The significance of cultures and values that local communities have woven together is being reconsidered in the midst of globalization. We explore the possibilities of methods to preserve these values while combining them with technological innovation as needed to transform them into driving forces for the future.

4. Health Care

Rising healthcare costs becoming social issues worldwide

In Asian regions where declining birth rates and aging populations are expected in the future, it has been pointed out that current healthcare systems will reach their limits both financially and in terms of human resources. Cost reduction through the promotion of preventive medicine and revision of social security systems are common issues for all countries.

Approaches to enhance well-being

Femtech, which has been attracting attention in recent years, supports women's health management and promotes employment and social participation. Especially in Asia, where women's social advancement is considered key to economic growth, the spread of such technology also leads to the activation of economic activities.

5. Environment

Approaches to protecting rich natural environments

Human society utilizes nature's blessings in various forms: water and food for daily life, energy and industrial materials for the economy, and natural landscapes for tourism. We will reconfirm the importance of humans sustainably coexisting with nature and learn about specific initiatives for this.

Changing environments around natural disasters and building smart disaster prevention systems

As disaster intensification due to climate change is pointed out worldwide, interest in new disaster prevention initiatives through data utilization such as satellite observation and urban planning is growing. We aim to coexist with nature by passing down lessons from past disasters to the future and combining them with modern technological development.
